Vegan Hawaiian BBQ Pizza is the most delicious pizza that is so easy to make! This vegan pizza recipe is cheese-less, but you can add vegan cheese, like Violife Mozzarella Shreds if you want to. I love cheese-less pizzas just as much as cheesy pizzas, but maybe that’s just me. The BBQ sauce, pineapple, red onion, and cilantro makes this a super flavorful pizza that everyone will love, with or without cheese!

Why You Will Love This Vegan Pizza

  • Easy & Customizable: Use store-bought or homemade dough and add your favorite pizza toppings for a quick, flexible meal.
  • Meal-Prep Friendly & Quick: This vegan pizza is ready in less than 30 minutes for a simple delicious weeknight dinner or for a quick lunch meal-prep for the week.
  • Sweet & Smoky Flavor: The combo of savory Hawaiian BBQ sauce and tangy pineapple with tender vegan chicken or chickpeas is absolutely irresistible – this may be your new favorite lunch!
  • No Cheese Needed: Bold flavors and gooey BBQ sauce make this pizza deliciously satisfying without any vegan cheese required.

In my pizza opinion, the perfect crust is not to thin, but thin enough to give you a good crunch. To make the crust bake to crunch perfection, use a pizza baking sheet with holes in the bottom, this allows the whole crust to get crispy.

If you want to add vegan cheese to this plant based pizza, I suggest Miyoko’s Pourable Mozzarella or Violife Mozzarella Shreds

The vegan chicken that I like best is the Tofurky Brand or this one. Both have a great meaty texture and absorb flavors from the BBQ sauce well. Speaking of BBQ sauce, have you tried this pineapple BBQ sauce yet? It is so good that I want to put it on everything.
