Baked Vegan Donuts with Chocolate Glaze are so AMAZING! They are baked instead of fried, so they are a bit healthier than typical donuts. This vegan donut recipe is fluffy and soft with a chocolate glaze just like bakery donuts that melts in your mouth and delights your taste buds.

Baked donuts are ready in less than 30 minutes, so you can have warm chocolatey goodness in no time for a fun vegan brunch addition or late night dessert.

All you need for to make this recipe is a donut pan and a mixing bowl. I like to use silicone donut pans, because they never stick to anything. But a metal donut pan will make the edges of the donuts a bit crisper and firm since you need to oil the pan.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Vegan Donuts

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cup non-dairy milk
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Pour in the non-dairy milk, coconut oil, and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
  4.  Pour the batter in to a silicone donut pan or a greased metal donut pan. Fill each donut mold 3/4 of the way full.

  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for a couple minutes and transfer to a cooling rack.
  6. While the donuts bake, prepare the glaze by combining all the chocolate glaze ingredients in a bowl and whisking until smooth.
  7.  When the donuts have cooled, drizzle the glaze onto the donuts and enjoy! If the donuts are too warm, the glaze will not firm up.
